Comments on my blog.

October 5, 2009

I accept pretty much every comment someone posts to me, if they are reasonable, unless they ask me not to as it might have personal information on it. My comments are moderated, just because I like to read what I’m putting on the internet before it goes up there, and if anything offensive for harsh is on it I would leave it and show my teacher, and then decline it. Yes, I will accept critical comments about my spelling or grammar, or anything like that, as most of the time it actually helps me when people point out my mistakes. I learn from it.

Aliens

August 24, 2009

\Alien. \

In reponse to the paragraph below: My dream for 2029 is for no more anger in the world.

The Age this week had an interesting article ” Dear Alien, can I add you to facebook?” which outlined an invitation for Australian citizens  to write a message. To quote from the article:-

”Hello from Australia on the planet we call Earth. These messages express our people’s dreams for the future. We want to share these dreams with you.”

To post an interstellar message, earthlings must visit HelloFromEarth.net, which will operate from 10.30am today until August 24. Messages can contain up to 160 characters.

Travelling at light speed, they will not reach the planet until 2029. Replies should not be expected before 2049, if ever.

Mrs Murch. :)

August 12, 2009

One Friday, not to long ago Tim and I were talking to some people Indonesia, Mrs Murch set me up with it, just to have a casual chat and to teach them a little English over Skype. At first I was worried, I didn’t really know what I was going to say or what they would think. But as I got into it I realised and started to learn that it wasn’t that hard to do, and I was gaining more confidence as I was going.

Tim then came over to say hello, and just got talking, we showed them around the computer lab. We were talking about how many computers we have. We went outside and showed them our Tea House.

I learnt from their teacher that the men and boys had gone to pray, it was their way of life. It was what they did. I find it so interesting on how they live.  What they do, I wish I could find out more about it, doing those sorts of link ups and such is what I find interesting.   It really was a good experience!

International Days.

July 20, 2009

International

days.

Today, the twentieth of July we had an international conference with Manila, Philippines via the internet. We had some guys come and record our conference for the Education department and they were apparently very happy with what we all produced. Mrs Murch has been wonderful about everything and had tried extremely hard to prepare us for this day, it was a little hard when Rox in Manila’s internet was cutting in and out and the Typhoon that had  hit a couple of days before didn’t exactly help to much either. The year sevens had talked to Lorraine in America the period before, it all looked pretty intense. We showed Rox and his students a football and they made me try to explain it, although to be honest I don’t know anything about it at all! So I made quiet a fool of myself about it. There were only eight of us tapping away at this international break, as the rest of the class were hitting the oval and yes, playing football.

Today had been a pretty good day and all because of Mrs Mirtchen it had been a big hit. Thanks Mrs Murch:)

The post of my choice.

June 8, 2009

I’m really not to good with writting posts anymore, I don’t know why. Today I’m going to write about everything though. If that’s okay?

Well, last week I was in Geelong at my dads. So I had some work to catch up on today when I came back, this morning I came into Form assembally and my form teacher had a whole pile of school work for me. Yikes, I have a lot of work to catch up on. Whilst I was at dad’s I went shopping for some things I needed whist I was down there, some leggings and some singlets. It was real good, I’m glad to be back at school though.

In ICT we are finishing up on everything that we hadn’t finished during the tearm. Woops, I have a fair bit to catch up on. Sorry Mrs Murch (: So I had better get going.

Thaanks (: ♥
